Ardently Green Helps Veterans and Military Families by Creating More Green Jobs and Efficient Homes in Northern Virginia

In an effort to provide Veterans with jobs and help military families, Ardently Green – a division of Ardent360 - has joined forces with Veterans Green Jobs to weatherize 50 military homes in Northern Virginia. This pilot program protects the environment and helps families with loved ones on active or reserve military duty save on their energy bills. Families who participate receive $4,500 worth of weatherization and energy auditing services at no cost.

Through this project called the Military Housing Energy Efficiency Project (MHEEP), Ardently Green in partnership with (Laborers International Union of North America), Sierra Club and Groundswell will help to train and employ nine local veterans to provide these services as part of an 8-week apprenticeship. At the end of the pilot, Veterans Green Jobs with work with Ardently Green and other construction companies to explore the long-term placement for program participants.
